My mom asked for placemats for her upcoming birthday, to match the table runner I made her for Christmas. Of course I had barely any of the Le Poulet fabric left and of course it is retired. I actually used math and graph paper to figure out how to make the most of what I had left (two things I've avoided like the plague since high school). I think it worked out well, even though my topstitching still needs work!
Apologies for the wonky color in the photo. It's not a filter, the camera on my Galaxy Nexus just isn't good., but so much more handy than fishing out my point-and-shoot. I'm dying for a Sony NEX-5R, maybe someday....
